This Eranian script is developed by Dr Elmar Janahmadov to improve the existing Azeri alphabet of 1992. It is based on the Phoenician, and Latin alphabets to maintain the style and logic behind the alphabet development and simplicity, which makes it easier to read and visually appealing. Besides, it also overcomes the keyboard problems associated with the current Azeri alphabet. The Eranian script fully mirrors the classical Latin script.

JZ, EI, Í, OI, UI are sounds, and they are not part of the alphabet. The letter W, also known as "qosha ve", its original sound is restored from the Phoenician alphabet. The diphthong Jz is quite rare in the language. Examples, ejzdaha (dragon); jzale (dew).

The apostrophe (') is a punctuation mark, and a diacritical mark. For example, e'la (excellent), ef'i (boa) or to seperate j'z, e'i, o'i, u'i as two seperate sounds. Latter, it practically never happens, but it is there for possible occurences in the words.

The Standard US keyboard can be used to type text. To type following vowels, use the the key combinations: Í – Shift+Alt+E -> I; í – Alt+E -> I
